Option 1:
Field Sales Remote Access
This solution allows field sales personnel using computing devices such as notebook computers, personal digital assistants or smart phones to access sales databases or applications on the corporate local area network (LAN). Each computing device has a modem and may have middleware that enables it to connect to the wireless wide area network (including, but not limited to, CDPD, Mobitex, RD-LAP). The wireless network and the corporate LAN are linked through the Internet or by a wired service such as a T1, Frame Relay, xDSL or ISDN. In addition, a third party may provide specific content, middleware or services relative to field sales.
